In a recent meeting with the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce the ICOC Board of Directors was informed that an excellent benefit would be extended to our members. Effective immediately all members in good standing of the Iqaluit Chamber of Commerce will also enjoy full membership benefits in the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce.
No additional membership fees will be required. If you are currently a paid member in both chambers, at next years renewal you will only have to pay your ICOC dues and you will continue to enjoy BRCC membership. This allows you access to all of BRCC’s programs and resources. You will shortly be receiving an information package from BRCC. Please note that this does not in any way mean that the two Chambers have merged, we still continue to be two autonomous organizations working towards the common goal of fostering business in the North, as well as continuing to work towards some very different goals specific to our membership bases. We hope that this is just one of many initiatives through which we can work with BRCC to continue to build an environment in Nunavut and Iqaluit which is friendly for businesses old and new.
